Case Study:

Wet Ponds

Wet ponds are stormwater basins that include a permanent pool for water quality treatment and additional capacity above the permanent pool for temporary storage. While they don’t achieve significant groundwater recharge or volume reduction, they can be effective for pollutant removal and peak rate mitigation. Like wetlands, they can also provide aesthetic and wildlife benefits.
