Calling all Stormwater Geeks:
Help Shape the Resource Center of the Future

Economic loss, severe erosion, flooded roads and basements, polluted run-off, poor water quality: every community in Pennylvania deals with a range of challenges in the struggle to manage stormwater runoff in their watershed and beyond. Many communities also face low flows in their rivers and streams, groundwater shortages, and well-water contamination. While the connection may not be obvious, water shortages can be the result of considering stormwater a problem to be disposed of as quickly as possible instead of an important resource that can be more effectively managed and used.

This site is part of a long range program to help municipalities throughout the Commonwealth apply the most effective, innovative, proven techniques in stormwater management to their community's needs. Over the next several years, StormwaterPA will evolve into the “go to” Resource Center and Online Community for those interested in better managing the challenges of stormwater—and improving our environmental, economic, and public health.
